MultiLock alone has a bending moment of 3.94 kNm/m, the manufacturers and their design engineers Geoconsult Noord, have based the product concept on an additive method, when used as a hybrid system with timber or steel; where both pile and post or tube are present. Note in a king panel design, there are clearly regions of the wall which are solely the tube or post.

The MultiLock product can be used on its own as a conventional sheet pile or can use used as a king panel with timber or steel inserts. The use of timber or steel will increase the bending moment of the piled wall. I

Our plastic piling range combines traditional UZ with the new advanced sheet pile designs. This enables us to offer an unparalleled range of piling systems, including traditional sheet piling, king sheet combi piles, hybrid and fully plastic kingposts and formwork solutions.

Plastic Piling used for Aplication 01

Plastic sheet piling is made from recycled PVC, and has been available for close to 20 years in the UK. PVC brings several advantages to sheet piling, particularly in terms of product longevity, it does not rust or rot and so is ideal for permanent applications that need a low maintenance solution.

The ease of manual handling, due to the low weight of the sheet piles is becoming more of an asset; enabling the product to be carried to very access restricted sites. In terms of major schemes, this low weight reduces the number requried deliveries- less site nuisance and lower carbon foot print. Plastic sheet piling competes directly with trench sheeting and hot rolled steel sheet piling. However, over the years it has carved itself a niche between the two, for those applications that require the water tighteness of a hot rolled section, but not neccessarily the strength.

Equipments used for Application 01

Equipments provides a specific range of piling equipment, primarily suited to the installation of plastic sheet piling. Since its creation, Hammerman has provided a range of equipment for hire and sales, including Atlas Copco PD1 handheld pile and post drivers, ESF Mini Piling Vibrators and Piling Mandrels. It is our intention to broaden our own range of products, and in this vane we have create a subsidiary called The Hammer (Manufacturing and Research) Company Limited. For the time being our focus is the provision of equipment on a hire basis, in support of our own plastic sheet piling range.

Originally all hired equipment was supplied through Aldridge Piling Equipment (Hire) Company Limited, commonly known as APE or APEhire. Even equipment introduced and owned by The Hammerman, was supplied through APEhire, such as the piling mandrels and post drivers.
