- The conical design of our maintainable weep hole filter gives our 3-inch weep hole filter unit 2.5 times the filter fabric surface area than a 3 inch traditional weep hole. The increased surface area allows our filters to produce greater than 200%* additional water flow. The 3-inch weep hole filter also has 6 times the surface area of our 2.5″ dia. ABS filters. As a result, the 3-inch weep hole filter units can be used in more diverse and high-durability drainage system applications.
- Unlike other wall drainage systems, all JET Filter weep hole units are designed to be quickly and easily maintained. The time between maintenance depends on many variables such as backfill material and soil hydrology.
- The JET Filter System’s 3-inch weep hole filter not only provides an impressive increase in water flow and surface area, but it also enhances the overall efficiency and longevity of drainage systems. This increased capacity is crucial in preventing hydrostatic pressure build up behind retaining walls, which can lead to structural failures over time.
Key Features
This is the newest edition to the range, and was introduced as an improvement and replacement of the 2.5″ stainless Steel JETFilter.
Superior Water Flow
Increased filter surface area delivers over 200% more water flow compared to traditional weep holes, draining up to 13.93 gallons per minute.
Innovative Design
The conical design maximizes efficiency, offering 2.5 times the filter surface area for improved performance in diverse applications.
Low Maintenance
Larger surface area reduces cleaning frequency, and the removable cartridge allows quick maintenance without wall excavation.
Cost Effective
Delivering long-term value with maintainable solutions that reduce overall costs.
Fixing and Fasteners
Within the unit price of the 3″ JETFilter we provide the BTS Hex head 316 Stainless Ceramic Coated Masonry screws.
The BTS screws are 316 Stainless steel and whilst considered a masonry/concrete screw are tried and tested over many years and are suitable for steel sheet piling. The ceramic coating on these screws reduces the chance of dielectric corrosion.
Note pilot holes will need to be drilled and these BTS fitting tightened by hand. If site plan to use an impact driver, then if care is not taken, you will strip the threads. Not all sites have issues but some have.
Hex screws have been selected to enable the installer to apply more torque to the screw.
For those sites which cannot hand tighten or use an impact driver without stripping the thread or snapping the Hex head. We can supply (at additional cost) SuperTek Marine 8 Fasteners, which still require a pilot hole, but appear to have a higher strength and drilling capacity in steel.
Material Information
The JETFilter is a very innovative, but simple concept. However, it consists of high quality materials.
The geotextile filter weave is from TenCate and is Mirafi® FW300. Mirafi® FW300 geotextile composed of polypropylene yarns, which are woven into a stable network such that the yarns retain their relative position. Mirafi® FW300 geotextile is inert to biological degradation and resists naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis, and acids.
TenCate TM develops and produces materials that function to increase performance, reduce costs and deliver measurable results by working with our customers to provide advanced solutions. The Difference Mirafi® FW300 engineered geotextiles make:
- Engineered Filtration. Resists clogging while maintaining flow rates in high gradient and dynamic flow conditions.
- Durability. High survivability rating in aggressive installation and loading conditions along with excellent resistance to chemicals in aggressive environments.
- Soil Interaction. Superior soil confinement resulting in greater load distribution.
- Unique Constructions. Manufactured with highly UV stabilised monofilament and multifilament fibres which provide highly uniform opening size (AOS) while maintaining high long-term flow rates. Mirafi® FW Series geotextiles are manufactured with highly specialised processes to produce unique physical and hydraulic properties not possible with standard geotextiles, woven or nonwoven.
The material used for the filter cartridge cage is durable ABS, making it resistant to environmental wear, corrosion, and harsh conditions, including saltwater exposure.
