Open ended JETFilter weep hole drainage filters

The Importance of Weep Hole Drains
Weep hole drains are essential for the longevity and effectiveness of seawalls. They allow water to escape from behind the seawall, reducing hydrostatic pressure and preventing structural damage. This process is vital in maintaining the seawall’s stability and extending its lifespan.

JET Filter System’s Innovative Solutions

Jet Filter System’s weep hole drains are designed for optimal performance and durability. Their products feature:

  • High-Quality Materials: Constructed from robust materials that withstand harsh marine environments.
  • Efficient Drainage: Engineered to provide maximum water flow, ensuring that water pressure does not compromise the seawall.
  • Easy Installation: Designed for straightforward integration into new or existing seawalls, minimising disruption and labour costs.

Maintainable weep hole filters by JET Filter System provide drainage and soil filtration. Installed through the front of any new or existing retaining wall, maintainable weep hole filters help prevent failure as they reduce water pressure and prevent soil loss. Most importantly, Maintainable weep hole filters are always easily maintained, they can extend the life of your valuable investment.

Weep hole filters can be installed on seawalls, bulkheads, bridge abutments, wing walls, stormwater channels, box culverts, dam spillways, and even underground parking garages. They are the perfect solution for concrete walls, all types of sheet piles (steel, plastic, aluminium, composite, etc), MSE walls, and even wooden walls.

This design of JET Filter is open ended, so flow could go both ways.  However, flow of water will always follows from the side with the most pressure, equalising hydrostatic forces, so even under water, when there is sufficiently high enough water pressure from behind the structure, it will flow out of the JET Filter.

This design of JET Filter is available in 4 sizes, the 2.5 ” ABS, the 3″ stainless steel, the 4″ stainless steel and the 6″ stainless steel.

As the filter size gets larger it naturally allows more flow through and at a faster rate due to the higher surface area of the geotextile.   Further due to a greater surface area, larger JET Filters will require less frequent maintenance than smaller units.
