Over the last 20 years of working together, the Pietrucha range has expanded to make them one of the largest suppliers, if not the worlds biggest supplier of Plastic Sheet Piling. With factories in Europe, Asia and joint ventures in the USA, Pietrucha have had a global impact on the vinyl sheet piling market.
Their factories are ISO9001:2015 accredited, and their products are supported by a team of engineers, back up by substantial research with regional universities in Poland.
Geosynthetic products manufactured by the Pietrucha Group are distributed in 34 countries on 5 continents, especially in regions sensitive to the impact of climate change. Export constitutes over 50 percent of the Group’s activity.
Our story began when Pietrucha contacted APEhire to learn more about the installation of plastic sheet piling, particularly THE Side mandrels, which we, at APE, had developed alongside THE internal mandrels. Our MD, David Coley, having presented to Pietrucha clients in 2009 on the development of mandrels at APEHire and the typical methods of installation.
Since that time Pietrucha, with it very successful global operations, have amassed a huge wealth of experience on the installation of plastic piling.
They primarily work with rear based mandrels, with steel clips, rather than the Stabcat Stomper design or Pileclaw which have hinged feet.
When it comes to driving long plastic sheet piling, Pietrucha lead the way with 13m sheets, in the UK we tend to work up to around 6m, simply as most of our customers work with excavators rather than leader rigs or cranes.
THE Plastic Piling Company was created, then trading as APE Plastic Piling to introduce Pietrucha Vinyl sheet piling to the UK. Our first and original product was THE Europile, which we still sell today. In recent years, THE Plastic Piling Company now gets is rear mandrels from Pietrucha. With our internal and side mandrels still sourced locally.
For 60 years, the name Pietrucha has been associated with an honest family business. Despite the scope of its operations, the Pietrucha Group has remained a family business, managed by a third generation of entrepreneurs.
The Pietrucha extensive EcoLock range of plastic sheet piling encompasses our Budget Plastic Piling. So products such as THE EcoZ , THE DuoRib and THE Europile.
The range also includes all our heavy duty Z Piles and most of our range of U piles.
Most recent innovations include The Hex piles and SuperLock. SuperLock is a very innovative product that combines affordable PVC sheet piling but reinforced with polypropylene fibres, providing a Z pile with extremely high rigidity. Designed to be the plastic sheet pile that doesn’t need a piling mandrel for support.
