plastic piling

Premium seawall, bulkhead & retaining wall with vinyl sheet piling system for waterfront protection, erosion control, landscaping and more.  We came across Truline in much the same way as with Profextru, looking for innovative plastic piling products that didnt just copy the established narrative of what a sheet pile should look like, and also that PVC was seen as a complete alternative to other materials.  The Truline Series 800, is likely the most extensively tested product, with specifications based on back calculation from real product testing.

We do carry some Truline in stock in 5.95m lengths, mostly the main U shape.  Delivery of this product is based on 8-10 weeks from order and so the longer lead times have lead to it not fulfilling is full potential.  So you you want to benefit from this amazing product, allowing enough time to order is critical.

The Truline system is the latest innovation in seawall, bulkhead and retaining wall construction in over 30 years.  It combines the best attributes of traditional steel, concrete and vinyl materials into one ultimate wall system.

Truline is the only system for building an 8″ steel-reinforced concrete wall inside a modular and protective vinyl form.  As a result, the strength of the wall (steel and concrete) will last longer because it is protected inside the form building The Ultimate Seawall®.  When properly designed and installed, the wall will last 75+ years based on independent testing and analysis.

No other product or seawall system on the market provides all of these benefits together:

Truline Modular Vinyl Sheet Piling Parts

Specifications for Seawall and Bulkhead Design
It is very important to provide the most accurate and conservative data for engineers, architects and contractors. We invested significant time and money to ensure the data was based on actual testing and independent analysis and interpretation by professional engineers and premier testing labs. The following firms provided testing and engineering analysis:

TESTING: Testing was completed by Intertek Group (formerly Architectural Testing, Inc.), a well‐known and respected firm that tests products for the largest building product manufacturers.

ENGINEERING ANALYSIS: Third‐party interpretation and analysis of the test data was completed by a well‐known and respected geotechnical and structural engineering and software firm, Ensoft, Inc.

Truline offers 3 colour choices, as shown below, the currrent stock is light grey.

Design of Sheet Pile Walls Using Truline Composite Wall Sections – Design Methods and Examples by Ensoft, Inc (Austin, TX) – January 2015

This report presents the recommended structural capacities for Truline composite wall sections and a summary of design methods commonly used to design cantilevered and anchored sheet pile structures. Several design examples are provided to illustrate the application of these design methods for sheet pile walls using the Truline 800 Series composite wall sections.

Interpretation of Testing Results on Truline Composite Wall Sections by Ensoft, Inc (Austin, TX) – June 2012

The subject of this report is the analysis of the tests performed on four composite Truline wall sections. The four test specimens were constructed using Truline PVC parts filled with reinforced concrete.

Truline works closely with JETFilter to the extent they actually have their own colour version in the 2 1/2″ ABS Plastic.
