- Unmatched Surface Area and Water Flow
The conical design of our 4-inch weep hole filter provides 210% more filter fabric surface area than a traditional 4″ dia. weep hole. This increased surface area enables the filter to produce greater than 200% additional water flow, ensuring exceptional drainage performance. With 9 times the surface area of our 2.5″ dia. ABS filters and 1.5 times that of 3″ dia. units, the 4″ dia. units are the most versatile, suitable for virtually any application. - Efficient and Low Maintenance Design
Unlike traditional drainage systems, the 4-inch weep hole filter is designed for quick and easy maintenance. Its 26 in² filter surface area allows it to go longer between cleaning compared to smaller models, making it an ideal choice for environments where maintenance intervals may be extended. - Enhanced Longevity and Structural Protection
The 4-inch weep hole filter not only improves drainage efficiency but also enhances the longevity of retaining walls and seawalls by effectively preventing hydrostatic pressure buildup. This increased capacity helps protect structures from damage and costly repairs over time.
Key Features
This is one of the bigger sellers of our range offering a much larger capacity than the 2.5″ and 3″ JETFilters.
Large Capacity
A 4” diameter weep hole filter provides 20.79 gpm flow rate for applications demanding high performance especially during heavy rainfall and snow melt.
Rugged Stainless Steel
316-grade stainless steel construction resists rust, corrosion, and mechanical wear for extended service life.
Versatile Applications
Suited for retaining walls, seawalls, and flood-prone infrastructure where high-capacity drainage is critical.
Low Operating Costs
The 26 square inches of geotextile filter fabric also provide longer periods between maintenance. This reduces maintenance future costs by providing more soil filtration capacit
The JF4SS 4-Inch Weep Hole Filter provides a 26.03 in² fabric surface area with a 4-inch diameter, ensuring superior water flow and efficient drainage. Its conical design offers over two times greater water flow than traditional piping systems, making it a perfect solution for large-scale drainage needs. Crafted from 316 stainless steel, this unit guarantees durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance. Easy to maintain, the removable cartridge simplifies cleaning and ensures longevity.
Fixing and Fasteners
Within the unit price of the 4″ JET Filter we provide the BTS Hex head 316 Stainless Ceramic Coated Masonry screws.
The BTS screws are 316 Stainless steel and whilst considered a masonry/concrete screw are tried and tested over many years and are suitable for steel sheet piling. The ceramic coating on these screws reduces the chance of dielectric corrosion.
Note pilot holes will need to be drilled and these BTS fitting tightened by hand. If site plan to use an impact driver, then if care is not taken, you will strip the threads. Not all sites have issues but some have.
Hex screws have been selected to enable the installer to apply more torque to the screw.
For those sites which cannot hand tighten or use an impact driver without stripping the thread or snapping the Hex head. We can supply (at additional cost) SuperTek Marine 8 Fasteners, which still require a pilot hole, but appear to have a higher strength and drilling capacity in steel.
Material Information
The JETFilter is a very innovative, but simple concept. However, it consists of high quality materials.
The geotextile filter weave is from TenCate and is Mirafi® FW300. Mirafi® FW300 geotextile composed of polypropylene yarns, which are woven into a stable network such that the yarns retain their relative position. Mirafi® FW300 geotextile is inert to biological degradation and resists naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis, and acids.
TenCate TM develops and produces materials that function to increase performance, reduce costs and deliver measurable results by working with our customers to provide advanced solutions. The Difference Mirafi® FW300 engineered geotextiles make:
- Engineered Filtration. Resists clogging while maintaining flow rates in high gradient and dynamic flow conditions.
- Durability. High survivability rating in aggressive installation and loading conditions along with excellent resistance to chemicals in aggressive environments.
- Soil Interaction. Superior soil confinement resulting in greater load distribution.
- Unique Constructions. Manufactured with highly UV stabilised monofilament and multifilament fibres which provide highly uniform opening size (AOS) while maintaining high long-term flow rates. Mirafi® FW Series geotextiles are manufactured with highly specialised processes to produce unique physical and hydraulic properties not possible with standard geotextiles, woven or nonwoven.
The material used for the filter cartridge cage is durable ABS, making it resistant to environmental wear, corrosion, and harsh conditions, including saltwater exposure.
